ENGINEERED FOR SAFETY
Due to popular demand, LNS manufactures and sells two of its Worksafe BC compliant safety products. The Line makes it safe to work on top of center-beam rail cars, while Lock 'N' Safe® makes it safe to work underneath bin sorters in sawmills.

THE LINE
The Line is a portable fall restraint device which is used when workers must climb on top of center-beam rail cars during loading and unloading activities. It consists of two aluminum masts which are attached to each end of the rail car with a cable strung between them. The cable is then tensioned between the masts by the use of a non–slip winch.

When a worker needs to access the top of the railcar he simply connects the lanyard from his safety harness to the cable. The worker is then restrained from falling to the ground. The Line is easily set up on any center-beam rail car in less than five minutes.

The Line complies with all Worksafe BC guidelines and has been supplied to over 30 facilities in British Columbia, Alberta, and the United States.

LOCK 'N' SAFE®
The concept is simple: Lock 'N' Safe® makes it safe to work under bin sorters. Lock ‘N’ Safe® is similar to a cable brake that stays open with compressed air, and requires no electricity to operate. Lock 'N' Safe® units are easily installed in any type of bin sorter.

Each Lock ‘N’ Safe® system is designed to accept a working load of 10,000 lbs. per brake unit for a total bin weight of 20,000 lbs. The factor of safety on each brake unit is five to one based on actual load tests made on the prototypes. Each brake unit is shop tested to 20,000 lbs. on our test bench.
